My Story

Straight out of a cornfield in Nebraska, Ashton Lambie just likes to go fast. He’s had 4k and 400 mile world records, and enjoys right turns on gravel as much as left turns on the track. The grass velodrome of Kansas began his track career; three world records, four world cup medals, and a world championship medal, and he’s still covering gravel whenever he gets the chance! His life soundtrack is anything by Willie Nelson, and his spirit animal is a turnip.

How you discovered Zwift

I used to work at Sunflower Bike Shop in Kansas, and we had a demo station sent in from Wahoo. I’d come into work early and use it because it was either that or rollers, so I was at the shop a lot.

Real life athletics background

I’ve raced bikes since I was 15 in various disciplines. Got started on the road, and eventually got into ultra-distance brevets after I got burned out on parking lot crits in the midwest. After my first stint on a grass track outside of Lawrence, KS, I went on to my first of 5 nat’l titles in track starting in 2017, and have been racing with the national team and Huub-Wattbike since then.

FUN FACT:
My low-key superpower is to look at the microwave when it’s almost (10” or less) done. I hardly ever think about it, but just remember, glance over, boom. 3 seconds left.
